7 summits

August 26, 2023 @ 6:00 am - 5:00 pm

2016 We had a small but competitive group including top rider Cully Todd (Bike record of 7:32:09) and top runner Heath Wiltse ( Run record of 8:58:34). It was fun to watch these two lay it all out. All the runners and riders did great! This is more than just a ride or run covering over 50 miles, this is an adventure.
This will be a 53 mile trail run/ MTB ride. Leaving Coeur d”Alene and finishing at Farragut State Park. This is not an easy run or ride, 53 miles with over 13900′ of elevation gain/ loss. We start at the Nettleton Gulch parking lot at 5 am for runners and MTB riders. VERY limited parking, carpool or plan ahead. From here we climb the west and east Canfield Buttes, then Huckleberry Mt, Spades, South and North Chilco peaks and finally Bernard Peak. Lots of single track and dirt roads. We finish at Farragut State Park. I am camping at the whitetail loop site #45 please join me. I will have food, beer and a finisher prize for you. We even have a few spots for tents.
Like all Fat Ass events you are responsible for your own safety. This route HAS ONE RELIABLE WATER SOURCE AT MILE 25 (HAYDEN CREEK, BRING A FILTER). THIS COURSE WILL BE LOOSELY MARKED! Study the maps, look at this link on strava:
