Hey friends, we are going to try this again! Trail Maniacs is offering a snowshoe/fat bike race at Silver Mountain. All abilities are welcome! This is not your typical snowshoe or fat bike event, think challenging and loads of FUN! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Silver Mountain’s Volunteer Ski Patrol and the rest will be donated to the Trail Maniac Foundation to help off-set the costs associated with grooming.
Back to our roots
The last five years have been amazing. But we decided that we wanted to get back to our roots which included fun family-friendly Trail runs with a killer tailgate party afterward. Straying away from awards and focusing on what trail running really mean to us. Our events are an excuse for us to all get together as a trail family, push ourselves enjoy each other's company and the Beautiful Outdoors.
Farragut State Park, such a great place to have a gorgeous trail run period with miles of single track, stunning views and years of History, Farragut tends to be our most popular event.

This year at Farragut we decided to keep it simple we are offering a 10K and a 25k both are very moderate courses perfect for an early-season race. Our post-race tailgate party will include grilled cheese sandwiches and soup from The local Deli in Hayden and don't forget we always help you quench your thirst with local beverages.
You see we are about the friendships and companionship that trail running gives, we are not about a race medals or trinkets. I think the memories and free race photos are priceless.

This all started when I rode this route in 2013, the entire time I wondered if a hardy trail runner would be faster than a mountain biker. Then in 2015 we put this to the test with the first 7 summits mountain bikers vs trail runners. In 2015 the first person to finish was a rider but there was much controversy associated with his time, many complaints that he did not follow the designated route. This just lit the fire for the next year and lots of trash talking. Oh and I forgot to mention that we had a 50% DNF rate... This course is tough!
