Liberty Creek Loop Trail is an 8 mile loop located near Liberty Lake,
Washington that features waterfalls, a creek bed, bridges, single
track, and switchbacks with canopied cedar groves. The start and
finish are an out and back, then runners hit the trail going clockwise. The first 2 miles are relatively flat with a mild
climb. At the cedar grove you cross the creek and start climbing with
2,800 feet of elevation gain/loss. The climb is tough but worth it!
The cedar grove and waterfalls between mile 2.5 and 4 are so
beautiful. At mile 4 there is one aid station with GU gel and brew.
Then there is a 2+ mile descent on a fire road, finishing with more
single track and you are almost home. Great food awaits you at the
finish line! This trail run is rated as difficult.
